On a beautiful 33-hectare site, 20 minutes south of Brisbane’s CBD lies John Paul College, one of Queensland’s largest and most progressive independent, Christian Ecumenical co-educational schools, offering an Early Learning to Year 12 educational journey.
Offering boarding from Year 7, John Paul College extends a rich and rewarding home-away-from-home. Our boarding village, Fenton Village, provides boutique, village-style accommodation nestled in native bushland adjacent to the main campus. Our low student-to-staff ratio reflects the value the College places on the safety and wellbeing of students entrusted to our care.
Fenton Village is an inclusive global home to 48 students from various cultures, from Northern NSW, to Thursday Island to Hong Kong and beyond.
Accommodation is provided in villas, each housing eight students within four twin-share bedrooms, each equipped with its own bathroom. A communal kitchenette and lounge encourage shared conversations and the formation of lifelong friendships among villa residents. Offering enhanced privacy and independence, all villas feature swipe pass security technology and are within immediate proximity of staff accommodations.
Boarders enjoy access to a range of recreational facilities, including ovals, a games room, a dining hall, a basketball court, a fire pit and full use of the facilities at John Paul College, such as the Aquatics Centre, double-court indoor stadium and gymnasium.
Our boarding lifestyle embraces diversity, relies on compassion and engages the challenge. It is a community that serves others before itself and strives for a healthy and happy home every day.
Throughout the year, our boarders share their cultures and heritage through engaging conversations, food, music and sports. In doing so, they learn to overcome language barriers and broaden their global perspectives.
The College provides each student with a viable academic pathway that leads to post-school study or the workplace through a comprehensive curriculum offering 28 senior subjects and seven Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certificates.
The enriching educational experience is complemented by extensive sporting and performing arts co-curricular and social activities that keep boarders engaged and connected. These activities enable students to develop maturity, independence, self-confidence and resilience.
At John Paul College, we emphasise exceptional learning, dynamic teaching and strong traditional values, with our students always at the centre of our focus. It is not just a place for learning – it is where lifelong friendships are formed, where life’s lessons are learned, and, like home, where values are important.
As our students embrace learning and explore individual strengths, they become a part of a school that is more than just a community – the John Paul College Family.
John Paul College is a Christian Ecumenical co-educational school of 2,250 students from Early Learning to Year 12.
