Newcastle Williamtown Air Show 2023
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in partnership with the City of Newcastle and Port Stephens Council is proud to announce the ‘Newcastle Williamtown Air Show 2023’ (NWAS23).
The biennial RAAF Air Show will be held over the weekend of 18 and 19 November 2023 in Newcastle and at RAAF Base Williamtown respectively. The NWAS23 seeks to recognise the relationship between Air Force and the community, in particular RAAF Base Williamtown and the surrounding Newcastle and Port Stephens residents.
NWAS23 will be conducted as a two-day event comprising overwater flying displays at Newcastle beaches and rivers on Saturday 18 November 2023, and a non-flying Open Day at RAAF Base Williamtown on Sunday 19 November 2023.
Day 1 – Saturday 18 November
Led by the City of Newcastle, the free community event on Saturday 18 November will include morning and afternoon flying displays by RAAF aircraft overwater of Newcastle beaches and rivers.
Day 2 – Sunday 19 November
Sunday 19 November 2023 is a non-flying Open Day at RAAF Base Williamtown. On display will be all available RAAF aircraft types including No. 100 Squadron heritage assets and other available ADF capabilities.
Tickets
The Open Day at RAAF Williamtown will be ticketed, with tickets expected to be available for purchase from late September 2023. Tickets will be charged at an appropriate cost to limit spectator numbers in line with parking availability and traffic management control measures.
The flying event on Saturday in Newcastle will be a free community event, with no ticketing requirement.
